Set in the distant future, Dead Space follows engineer Isaac Clarke as he travels aboard the repair vessel USG Kellion to investigate a distress signal from the massive mining ship USG Ishimura. Upon arrival, Isaac discovers that the crew has been slaughtered or transformed into horrifying creatures known as Necromorphs. Trapped in the dark, claustrophobic corridors of the ship, he must fight for survival while repairing critical systems and searching for his missing girlfriend, Nicole. As the mystery deepens, Isaac uncovers the influence of a mysterious alien artifact called the Marker, which drives people into madness and unleashes the deadly outbreak. Facing terrifying enemies and psychological horrors, he struggles to distinguish reality from hallucination. His journey becomes a desperate battle against both the Necromorph infestation and the secrets hidden within the Ishimura.
