Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster follows Frank West, a freelance photojournalist who travels to the small town of Willamette, Colorado, after reports of a mysterious outbreak turn the area into a military quarantine zone. Trapped inside the enormous Willamette Parkview Mall, Frank discovers that the town has been overrun by hordes of flesh-eating zombies. As he searches for survivors and investigates the cause of the outbreak, he encounters desperate civilians, dangerous psychopaths, and disturbing clues pointing to a much larger conspiracy. With only 72 hours before the military arrives, Frank must uncover the truth while fighting his way through the undead using almost anything he can find. Along the way, he rescues survivors, confronts the people who have lost their sanity, and pieces together the horrifying events that led to the outbreak. His investigation ultimately reveals that the disaster is connected to a deeper biological and political secret. With time running out, Frank must escape the mall and expose the truth before the world learns a very different story about what happened in Willamette.
