In Sonic Frontiers, Sonic, Tails, and Amy are mysteriously separated after arriving at the ancient Starfall Islands while searching for the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic awakens alone on the islands, surrounded by vast landscapes filled with ancient ruins, strange machines, and powerful enemies known as the Titans. As he explores, Sonic discovers that the islands hold a mysterious connection to an ancient civilization and the digital world called cyberspace. Guided by an enigmatic artificial intelligence named Sage, Sonic begins uncovering the truth behind the islands and the danger threatening them. Along the way, he encounters echoes of his friends and works to free them from their digital imprisonment. Each island reveals more about the ancient beings who once lived there and their connection to the Chaos Emeralds. As the mystery deepens, Sonic must confront increasingly powerful Titans and uncover Sage's true purpose. Ultimately, Sonic faces a massive threat that could endanger not only the Starfall Islands, but the entire world.
