Twisted Metal 2 takes players into a chaotic world where deadly drivers compete in the mysterious Twisted Metal tournament for the chance to have their deepest wish granted. Hosted by the sinister Calypso, the competition spreads across cities around the world, turning streets and landmarks into brutal arenas of vehicular destruction. Returning drivers such as Sweet Tooth, Axel, Mr. Grimm, and Roadkill face both old rivals and new contestants, each fighting for their own personal desires. As the tournament progresses, alliances are shattered and every driver must survive increasingly dangerous battles. Calypso promises to fulfill the winner's wish, but his twisted sense of humor often turns those wishes into unexpected consequences. Beneath the explosions and destruction, each character has a personal motivation that reveals why they are willing to risk everything. The story ultimately builds toward a final confrontation where the winner discovers that getting exactly what they wished for may be far more dangerous than they imagined.
