Set fifty years after the events of Red Faction: Guerrilla, Red Faction: Armageddon follows Darius Mason, a descendant of the legendary Alec Mason, as humanity struggles to survive beneath the surface of a devastated Mars. After Darius is deceived into opening a mysterious ancient seal, he accidentally unleashes a terrifying alien race that threatens to wipe out the remaining human colonies. Branded responsible for the disaster, he joins forces with a small group of survivors to fight back against the relentless creatures while uncovering the secrets of the long-buried Martian civilization.
